Course Description

This course provides an overview of the growing landscape for private market and alternative investment opportunities and examines how these strategies can be aligned with impact objectives, Christian faith-based values, and the deployment of charitable capital. Participants will learn about the role of private equity, venture capital, private credit, and real asset fund investments in diversified portfolios, and the use of charitable structures such as donor-advised funds. The session also addresses key considerations when evaluating investment opportunities in the private markets funds as part of the due diligence process.

Biography

With nearly 25 years of experience in the investment management industry, Mark has a strong track record of successfully managing complex portfolios and driving strategic investment initiatives. Prior to coming to NCF, he was with Hartford Investment Management Company in Hartford, CT and served as Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager, Head of Strategic Investments. In addition, Mark served as Chief Financial Officer of TrustBridge Global, an international granting platform frequently utilized by NCF givers. He is a CFA and CPA and holds a BA in Accounting, Summa Cum Laude from Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts.
